2025 Concours Award Winners
Our 24th Annual Event
In the 24 years we have been running this event, I can't remember a year when a wider array of E30 M3's turned out. There were pristine, low mileage examples, restomods, and even real E30 M3 race cars. Every car was really amazing, and no two were alike. After several hours of meeting new people, enjoying great food and experiencing incredible E30 M3's- it was time to hand out the car show awards. This year's trophies were custom made all metal E30 M3 silhouette trophies conceived and created by James Liu. We presented the first one to BMW NA (Jay Hanson, Oleg Satanovsky, Tom Plucinsky) as a way of saying congratulations on 50 years, and Thank You for supporting SIGFest.
BMW NA'S Choice: Bob Isbitski
1991 Brilliantrot E30 M3. BMW NA'S CHOICE: BMW NA has graciously invited us to their campus to help
celebrate their 50th Anniversary. To show our appreciation, we asked the
judges to get feedback from BMW NA staff to have them select their favorite
E30 M3.
SIG Hall oF Fame: BMW CCA Foundation / Mark Woolley
1988 Diamontschwartz and yellow M3.. The SIG Hall Of Fame Award is a new award for 2025. It
is intended to recognize and honor a member of the BMW / E30 M3 community
that has made significant contributions to fellow members. There are
amazing cars, there are amazing owners, there are amazing mechanics and
enthusiasts that border on being BMW Motorsport historians. Maybe the
honoree has assisted others in the community in connecting with other
enthusiasts, or in repairing and maintaining their cars. Perhaps they own a
car that is a rolling homage to this era of BMW's history, or perhaps it's
given to someone who may not even have their E30 ///M3 with them, or perhaps
they do not even own one at all at this time, but has shown dedication to
BMW the E30 M3, and the enthusiast community. The SIG Hall Of Fame Award
goes to a member of this community who encourages others to enjoy owning and
using their E30 M3.
Best Original E30 M3: Tom Marino
1988 Lachsilber E30 M3.. They say that the only thing that is constant is
change. The Best Original Award goes to the E30 ///M3 that has refused to
change and was left as BMW intended. There are not very many completely
stock E30 M3's around, so our judges only had a few to choose from.
Best Modified: Jose E. Rodriguez
Warsteiner DTM Tribute E30 M3.. Forget original paint, low miles, and restorations for a
moment- Best Modified goes to the E30 ///M3 that is its owner's canvas. Now
that E30 M3's are considered collectible classics, few people are building,
modifying and racing them. There are a few who do not care about the market
or resale value, since they will never sell their car. We feel that Jose E.
Rodriguez's Warsteiner tribute car is worthy of this award because of the
time, dedication, and creativity that has obviously been put into this
masterpiece.
Road Warrior: Elihu Savad
1988 Alpineweiss E30 M3.. Road Warrior: E30 ///M3's are meant to be used and enjoyed. The Road
Warrior Award goes to the E30 ///M3 that has been there and done that.
We're proud to present The Road Warrior Award to Elihu Savad and his
Alpineweiss 1988 E30 M3.
SIGMeister's Choice: Ray Khubal
1988 Supercharged E30 M3. Sometimes you love something, but you can't quite
figure out why. We don't need no stinkin' reason to give this trophy. This
is for the SIGMeister's to debate, and award... We are proud to award the
SIGMeister's Choice Award to Ray Khubal and his wild supercharged amethyst
1988 E30 M3.
Best of Show: Jimmy Petinato
Prodrive BTCC E30 M3 Touring Car. All E30 ///M3's are amazing, but Best Of Show goes to the
car that the judges unanimously agree stands out and is a cut above the
rest. We are pleased to award Best Of Show to Jimmy Petinato and his Prodrive
BTCC E30 M3 Touring Car.
